How to link a business name in ASIC Connect

Source review: 2026-11-06. General procedural information, not legal or tax advice. Check the linked ASIC instructions before lodging; forms, fees and portal screens can change.

    Before you start

    • Have the business-name holder details and the 10-digit ASIC key available.
    • Confirm you are the holder or authorised to act for the holder.

    How to complete the process

    • Open ASIC’s business-name holder portal access page.
    • Create and activate an ASIC Connect account.
    • Use the ASIC key to link the registered business name to the account.
    • Select the linked business name and the appropriate management transaction.

    After lodgement or completion

    • Keep the holder’s email current so notices and keys reach the authorised person.

    Important limits and exceptions

The business-name ASIC key and company corporate key are different. Linking a business name does not automatically provide access to the company officeholder portal.

    Keeping the company record complete

Keep approvals, consents, submitted documents and lodgement receipts with the entity record. EntityFlo can help organise records and supported workflows; guidance about a form does not mean EntityFlo supports direct lodgement of that form. Website FloSec cannot sign, lodge or access your private company records.
