How to obtain ASIC registered-agent portal access

Source review: 2026-11-06. General procedural information, not legal or tax advice. Check the linked ASIC instructions before lodging; forms, fees and portal screens can change.

    Before you start

    • Review ASIC’s registered-agent eligibility and conduct requirements.
    • Prepare the agent registration information and authorised contact details.

    How to complete the process

    • Follow ASIC’s registered-agent registration process and obtain an agent number.
    • Accept the Electronic Lodgement Protocol and create the required portal credentials.
    • Obtain authority for each company and complete the separate appointment process, usually Form 362.
    • Maintain agent contact details and notify changes to the agent’s own registration details within 14 days.

    After lodgement or completion

    • Retain appointment authorities and manage staff access securely.

    Important limits and exceptions

Registration as an agent is not blanket authority for every company. ASIC’s EDGE channel is for approved volume lodgers and is not an unrestricted public API.

    Keeping the company record complete

Keep approvals, consents, submitted documents and lodgement receipts with the entity record. EntityFlo can help organise records and supported workflows; guidance about a form does not mean EntityFlo supports direct lodgement of that form. Website FloSec cannot sign, lodge or access your private company records.
