How to lodge ASIC Form 484 for company changes

Source review: 2026-11-06. General procedural information, not legal or tax advice. Check the linked ASIC instructions before lodging; forms, fees and portal screens can change.

    Before you start

    • Confirm the company and the real-world change, including its effective date.
    • Have the supporting consents, resolutions or transfer records ready.
    • Obtain authorised access through the company officeholder or registered-agent portal.

    How to complete the process

    • Sign in to the relevant ASIC company portal and select Start new form.
    • Select Change to company details (484) and the sections that match the actual change.
    • Enter the changed details and effective dates; include each relevant change rather than assuming one section updates everything.
    • Review the declaration, submit and retain the lodgement receipt.

    After lodgement or completion

    • Check ASIC’s confirmation or updated extract and reconcile the internal company records.
    • Correct a processed mistake using the correction process, not a fictional later change.

    Important limits and exceptions

ASIC’s Form 484 page states 28 days after a change. Special transactions, public-company reporting and capital changes can have different triggers; do not use one deadline for every corporate event. The current general channel is online, not a universal paper PDF.

    Keeping the company record complete

Keep approvals, consents, submitted documents and lodgement receipts with the entity record. EntityFlo can help organise records and supported workflows; guidance about a form does not mean EntityFlo supports direct lodgement of that form. Website FloSec cannot sign, lodge or access your private company records.
